 Honestly one of the best things we did in Langkawi. You cruise through the Kilim Geoforest on a boat, gliding through narrow canals with mangrove trees arching over you on both sides — it's peaceful and beautiful. The tour covers a lot — eagle watching, the Bat Cave (thousands of bats hanging from the ceiling, very cool), a Floating Fish Farm where you can see stingrays and giant groupers up close, and a monkey zone where long-tailed macaques roam freely along the river banks. The eagles soaring overhead are something else — massive birds and you get really close. Guides are generally knowledgeable and the whole thing moves at a relaxed pace. Takes about 2 to 4 hours depending on your package. If you're travelling in a group, go private — it's worth the little extra and you get to spend more time at spots you enjoy.  The Kilim Geoforest Mangrove Boat Tour in Langkawi is amazing. The natural beauty is so nice, with calm water and green trees everywhere.
 
 This is a must visit place in Langkawi.
 
 The speed boat ride was fun and smooth. We saw eagle feeding, the crocodile cave, and other interesting places.
 
 The price is also very reasonable, only RM 60 per person.

 Amazing to see the mangrove from the water! The boat is spacious and fast, so refreshing with the wind.
 We had a nice guide that took afford to show us the best things in the mangrove.
 
 But; note that from the 2h private tour we stopped first for 50m at a fish farm and then 15m at a bat cave. Although both cool to see, you won’t be boating that much.
 Also we expected to see more from the mangrove, but the boat stayed on the broader waterways and didn’t go really into the mangroves.  - 10/21/2024

 Highly recommend you to visit if you travel Langkawi.
 We didn’t buy the package in advance, just walk in. There is an agency in the Mangrove entrance. Private boat was 350MYR (by group, not per person) , around 2h tour.
 It includes fish farm, eagle feeding and cave with bat (bat entrance fee is extra charge with 2MYR and lantern 1MYR - better to bring cash!).

 Pak Munadi was our boat captain for the day. He was very knowledgeable, friendly and happy to show us around. He was even able to maneuver during a slightly higher tide through the crocodile cave.
 
 We learned that there were many types of mangroves and Langkawi geoforest had half the species. He is able to communicate in both English and Malay. Strongly recommends his service  - 6/09/2024
