This policy explains what personal data LangkawiGo collects, why, who we share it with and how you can control it. It follows the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Malaysia).
1. Who we are
LangkawiGo is run by LangkawiGo Escape Holiday Sdn Bhd (201901039607 / 1348937-A), a tour operator licensed by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC licence no. 10113). We decide how your data is used.
2. What we collect
- Booking details you send us: name, phone or WhatsApp number, email, date, number of guests, hotel or pick-up point.
- Details some products need: IC or passport details (car rental, Koh Lipe ferry, immigration), driving licence (car rental), flight details (airport transfers and rentals).
- Messages: what you write to us on WhatsApp, phone, SMS or email.
- Website use: pages viewed, buttons clicked (for example a WhatsApp button), device and browser type, approximate location and the ad or link that brought you here. This comes from cookies and similar tools (section 5).
3. Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry and arrange your booking.
- To share the details a partner needs to run your activity (boat operator, driver, ferry company, homestay owner).
- To meet legal duties, for example immigration, tax and licensing records.
- To understand which pages and ads bring enquiries, so we can improve the site and our advertising.
We do not sell your personal data.
4. Who we share it with
- Partners who run the activity you booked, only the details they need.
- Authorities when the law requires it, for example immigration or police.
- Service providers that run our website and messaging: our web host, Cloudflare (security and speed), Google (Tag Manager, Analytics, Ads) and WhatsApp (Meta). Some of these store data outside Malaysia.
5. Cookies and tracking
Our website uses Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion tracking. These load only after you start using the page. They record visits and clicks on our WhatsApp, phone and SMS buttons, so we can measure which ads and pages work. Google may use this data to show you LangkawiGo ads on other sites.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and control Google ads personalisation at adssettings.google.com. The site still works without these cookies.
6. How long we keep it
We keep booking records for as long as Malaysian law requires for tax and licensing. We keep chat messages only as long as we need them to serve you. Website analytics data is kept for the period set in Google Analytics.
7. Photos
Our crew may take photos during tours. We post photos where you can be recognised on our website or social media only with your consent. Ask us at any time to take a photo down.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, or stop using it for marketing. You can also withdraw consent for photos. Send your request on WhatsApp to +60 18-665 1866. We reply within 21 days.
9. Security
We limit access to booking details to staff and partners who need them. Our website uses HTTPS and security protections. No system is fully secure, so please do not send card numbers or passwords on WhatsApp.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
